Description
DCS LFP Batteries are engineered to perform in the most harsh operating conditions.
Every DCS LFP battery features DCS own custom and proprietary BMS that has been continuously refined and improved up since it was first introduced in 2018. The DCS 3S BMS is paired with our stand-alone DCS 16 channel 59.2A Active Cell Balancing System (CMS). Both have been designed to pass MIL-STD-810G (Method 514.6) vibration testing requirements which ensures that these batteries remain reliable even in the most punishing of conditions.
All DCS LFP batteries also feature our comprehensive Bluetooth system that in conjunction with the DCS LFP App displays the following:
• Battery pack Voltage.
• State of Charge (SOC) % estimate via impedance tracking.
• Amp meter displaying real time charge and discharge current.
• Time remaining (estimate in real time).
• BMS Mosfet temperature status (for winching or large inverter loads).
• Battery pack cycle count.
• Cell status showing real-time active balancing operation.
• More accurate data compared to external battery monitors (shunts).
The DCS Low Draw (LD) battery is an ideal choice when making the leap into the world of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for the first time.
This LFP battery has the same advantages in weight, performance, reliability and service life as the fully featured DCS batteries but we are able to offer it at a significantly more accessible price point by not incorporating a Bluetooth module.
If the need for Bluetooth App monitoring of the battery is less essential, if let’s say for example that you are installing the battery in a system that already has external battery monitoring capabilities, then a significant cost saving can be made by omitting the Bluetooth functionality.
This battery is of course still equipped with the DCS 3S DCS 3S high performance BMS and CMS that manages and protects the battery cell pack from over charge, over discharge and short circuit events and provides active balancing of the cylindrical cells.
This battery has a rated life cycle span of a minimum of 2000 cycles @ 100% DOD, with a defined parameter of ≤ 80% Capacity Retention @ 77F. This means that the battery will achieve a minimum of 2000 cycles if it is repeatedly cycled from 100% SOC to 0% SOC in a constant temperature of 77F until the battery’s capacity has faded 20% from its original capacity. So after 2000 cycles the battery still retains 80% of its original capacity.
